North Eastern Pool & Spa will close your in ground or above ground pool. Let our professionals do it right. Several packages to choose from.

ABOVE GROUND POOL WITHOUT DECK - $154.95* + tax

North Eastern will winterize the system and install the pool cover as well as the air pillow if applicable. We will also winterize the main drain, if you have one, which usually requires 1 gallon of antifreeze ($8.99). We do not remove steps or ladders at the closing. This is the customer's responsibility.

ABOVE GROUND POOL WITH DECK OR ONGROUND POOL - $209.95* + tax

North Eastern will winterize the system and install the pool cover as well as the air pillow if applicable. We will also winterize the main drain, if you have one, which usually requires 1 gallon of antifreeze ($8.99). We do not remove steps or ladders at the closing. This is the customer's responsibility.

INGROUND POOL: PACKAGE A - Starting at $219.95* + tax

North Eastern will winterize the system, blow out the underground plumbing lines, and add antifreeze. This usually requires between 1 and 3 gallons, depending on pool size and costs $8.99 per gallon. We will attempt to remove all hardware provided the bolts are not seized up. We will also install the cover.

INGROUND POOL: PACKAGE B - Starting at $154.95* + tax

North Eastern will winterize the system, blow out the underground plumbing lines and add antifreeze. This usually requires between 1 and 3 gallons, depending on pool size and costs $8.99 per gallon. Please note that Package B differs from Package A in that the customer is responsible for cover installation and hardware removal.

NEW CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING POLICY- IF YOU CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE AFTER 12:00PM TWO BUSINESS DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT THERE WILL BE A CHARGE OF $50.00.  (Example:  If your closing is on a Monday, we would need to hear from you BEFORE 12:00PM Thursday to avoid a fee.  If your closing is on a Friday, we would need to hear from you BEFORE 12:00PM Wednesday to avoid a fee.) Over the years we have done what we can to try to help minimize last minute rescheduling.  We are finding that a majority of these reschedules are happening because customers are not reading the confirmation emails we send at time of booking and setting the proper reminders for themselves (outside of the one we send two business days prior to your date) so that they are ready.  This has had a significant impact on our business.  We are a small family owned business-  we always have a list of customers hoping for an earlier date- when you cancel your opening/closing last minute we are not able to give that spot to someone else and our technicians also lose out on that time.

It is the customer's responsibility to:

  • Ensure the pool is clean, the water is balanced and has the proper winter chemicals in it prior to the closing.
  • Lower the water level to the bottom of the skimmer, provided that your liner has never floated in the past (water gets behind the liner, causing it to bubble up and wrinkle.) If your liner has floated before, leave the water level at normal operating level. Please note: If you are NOT lowering the water level because of past problems with the liner floating, you need to inform us of this when you schedule your closing. If we arrive at your pool and the water is still at operating level, we will charge $95.00 to pump it down.
  • Monitor the amount of water on the cover and in the pool after closing. It is critical that the water level does not become high enough to reach the bead where the liner is clipped into the track as this will cause your liner to float. Please pump down the water as needed to prevent this from happening.
  • Please remove the chlorine tablets from the chlorinator and dispose of them prior to closing.
  • Remove and clean filter cartridges. North Eastern can clean them for you through the retail counter. The cost for inground cartridge cleaning is $69.99 (for all). They must be picked up before winter as we don't have the room to store them. Above ground cartridge cleaning is $39.99.
  • Review confirmation email thoroughly for all policies, procedures and additional charges.

Your filter cartridges should be clean at the end of the season and North Eastern can clean those cartridges for you.
